Boatby *NikeDorchain

Alright guys, long story for this one, so skip it if you're not interested.

This boat is based on one my Uncle and Aunt had some 20 years ago, his brother made a small wooden model of the boat back then. As a kid I just loved that model standing on a small shelf on the wall. Unfortunately a few years ago my Uncle was diagnosed with Cancer, and he lost the battle a few months later. Although we weren't extremely close or anything, this model is dedicated to him. R.I.P.

A few weeks ago I was at my Aunts' birthday and saw the model, I decided to take a few pictures and model it.

It isn't highly detailed, but it has basic detail, on the back of the boat there are a bench, chairs and of course the rudder. Although it is a dedication to my Uncle, it is also made for my War of the Worlds project. I changed a few things, including the flag, but that is to keep continuity with WOTW, as that is set in Britain and not the Netherlands.

My dad gave me a wooden model of a pirate ship made in Italy, I love the models of ships

Same here, normally I'm not really into this kind of thing, but I love everything in miniature, no idea why xD My Aunt also gave me my Uncle's large model of the HMS Pandora, which his brother made for him, a few months before he died. It is now standing on top of my Terrariums

Thanks! The hull of the boat is a bit lower quality then the rest, but for my final project it will be used as a background object, so I didn't want to super-detail it where it isn't required. Thanks for your comment though!
